Pontoon parts — 78 items for one push-fit system

A pontoon is built from five groups of parts: floats, assembly hardware, railing, accessories and tools. All of them follow the same 500 × 500 mm grid — which is why every part fits every other, whatever the size or purpose.

How the pontoon push-fit system works

A pontoon system is a push-fit system: every part follows the 500 × 500 mm grid that has been the standard in pontoon and floating dock construction for years. One float covers one grid cell, four cells make one square metre. Build 2 × 4 metres today and you can extend to 2 × 6 metres later while keeping every part you already own.

Everything is held together by coupling pins, bolts and washers. Pins sit at the interior nodes, bolts along the edge, washers lengthwise. How many of each you need is worked out by the configurator. For assembly a mallet and pin spanner are enough — no machinery, no special tools.

The rest is equipment, and it decides what the pontoon is for: railing, cleats and bollards for safety and mooring, anchoring, swim ladders and hand winches depending on water and vehicle. Only those turn a floating surface into a jetski dock, a boat mooring, a swim platform or a floating jetty.

Frequently asked questions

A pontoon consists of floats for the surface, coupling pins, bolts and washers for the connections, equipment such as railing, swim ladder or anchoring depending on use, and two tools for assembly. Four floats make one square metre and cost €47.50 net each. Complete kits include all of it.

If your pontoon follows the 500 × 500 mm grid and uses driven coupling pins, the parts will fit in most cases. The grid size is the same across most manufacturers, the pin seat is not. So it can only be confirmed case by case: send us a photo of the joint and the diameter of one existing pin and we will check it before you order.

Yes, and that is the real point of a push-fit system. A 2 × 4 metre pontoon can be extended to 2 × 6 metres without moving any of the existing parts. How many floats and connectors are added is worked out by the configurator: it shows the parts list for both sizes, and the difference is your reorder.

Floats start at €43.50 net, assembly hardware at €2.75, tools at €13.50, railing and bollards at €24.75, accessories at €33.00. The standard H40 float that most pontoons are built from costs €47.50. All 78 items are listed with part number, dimensions and price across the five group pages.
