Railing and bollards for pontoons

Railing makes sense wherever children, guests or club members use the pontoon. Posts drop into the hole pattern of the floats and the handrail is rope strung between them. Standard post spacing is 1.5 metres.

Guarding and mooring

A railing makes sense on swim platforms used by children and along jetty edges over deep water. There are two builds: centre posts set into a recess in the float, and side posts bolted to the outer edge. The ready-made sets with rope at €75.50 and €79.50 are designed for a post spacing of 1.5 metres.

For mooring we carry three sizes. The side cleat at €24.75 is enough for jetskis and small boats, the cross bollard in HDPE at €37.50 or stainless steel at €69.50 for boats up to around eight metres. The heavy-duty bollard at €350 is intended for permanently loaded berths and larger displacement craft.

Frequently asked questions

It is not mandatory in private use. It makes sense as soon as children use the platform or one side sits over deep water. The usual arrangement is a railing on one or two sides while the entry point and the ladder stay clear. A set with rope costs from €75.50 net per 1.5 metres.

For jetskis and boats up to around five metres the side cleat at €24.75 is enough. Up to about eight metres take the cross bollard, in HDPE at €37.50 or stainless steel at €69.50. Above that, and for a permanent berth, we recommend the heavy-duty bollard at €350, which spreads the loads over a wider area.

Yes. Centre posts drop into existing recesses in the floats, side posts bolt to the outer edge. Neither requires dismantling the dock or drilling. Reckon on one post per 1.5 metres of edge and plan the opening for the entry point from the start.
