| 27 × | Short coupling pins | join the floats at inner nodes |
| 18 × | V pins | along the channel |
| 31 × | Bolt and nut sets | at the edges |
| 11 × | Spacer rings | spacing lengthwise |
| 2 × | Tools | mallet and pin spanner |
Buoyancy
An H40 float displaces around 100 litres and carries about 100 kg; a double-size U float around 200 kg. With 52 single and 10 U floats that comes to 7,200 kg on paper. What matters is not the total but the load spread: the craft has to rest on several floats at once.
What you also need
Mooring is not part of the kit because it depends on the water. Up to three metres depth with firm ground you use a driven pile and a pile guide that lets the dock rise and fall. In deeper water or soft ground a 40 kg anchor with shackle and chain is used.
Frequently asked
What does the Boat Dock 3 × 6 m cost?
€3,875 net as a complete kit, plus freight from Rotterdam. It includes 62 floats, all connecting parts, a mallet and a pin spanner. We quote freight with your offer because it depends on the delivery address.
How does the boat get onto the dock?
Under its own power. The 10 U floats form a channel that rises towards the open end. You drive in slowly, the hull glides up and then sits dry. For heavier boats a hand winch helps with the last stretch.
How long does assembly take?
Two people need a few hours for this size. The system is pinned, not bolted: you drive the coupling pins in with the mallet, and both tools are included. Assembly happens in the water, because the floats are awkward to handle on land.
Can I extend the dock later?
Yes. The system is modular: add more floats and you only need extra coupling pins and bolts. The dock can equally be taken apart and rebuilt somewhere else.
